Create a customer tariff

Create a customer tariff with customer details, route data, base cost, additional costs, optional extra costs, and submit behavior.

Use a customer tariff to set the price rules you charge a customer for transport work.

Open directly:Create Customer Tariff.

Open create customer tariff

Go to Tariffs & Costs and select Tariffs. In Customer Tariff Overview, select Create new tariff to open Create tariff.

Add customer and tariff details

Choose the Customer, then fill in the tariff details.

Required fields are Customer, Category, and Description. You can also add Contacts, Transport type, Valid from, and Valid until.

Contacts depend on the selected customer.

Define the route

Use the map to build the route. The Localities field is filled from the map and shows: Please create your route via the map to add locations.

After the route is set, check Distance and Total toll cost. Use Tariff config and Tariff route settings when the route calculation needs specific settings.

Select Recalculate route costs to update distance, toll costs, and staffel values for the selected route and settings.

Check the tariff summary

The summary shows your running tariff totals, including Your tariff, Total cost, Total cost per km, Total base cost per km, and Distance.

Set the base cost

In Base cost, choose how the main price is calculated.

Use Fixed amount when the base price is one set amount. Fill in Amount.

Use Use staffel when the price uses a tiered rate. Staffel means a tiered rate based on values such as distance.

Add additional costs

Additional costs are always added to the total rate.

Select New cost to add a custom cost, or Add predefined cost to choose a saved customer cost. Predefined costs depend on the selected customer.

Add extra costs

Extra costs are optional prices. Add them when the customer only pays them if they use that extra service.

Create the customer tariff

Before you finish, check that Customer, Category, Description, a Base cost option, and the matching base cost amount or staffel input are filled in.

Select Create to save the customer tariff. This creates the customer tariff and the original tariff version. After a successful create action, the created tariff opens in edit mode.

Which fields are required before I can create a tariff?
You need Customer, Category, Description, a Base cost option, and the matching Base cost amount or staffel input.

How do I add localities, distance, and toll costs?
Create the route on the map. Localities are filled from the map. Distance and Total toll cost update from the route calculation.

What is the difference between Additional costs and Extra costs?
Additional costs are always added to the tariff total. Extra costs are optional prices that are only charged when the customer uses them.

When should I use Fixed amount or Use staffel?
Use Fixed amount for one set base price. Use staffel for a tiered rate, for example when the price changes by distance.

What happens after I select Create?
The customer tariff is saved, the original tariff version is created, and the created tariff opens in edit mode.
