Trucking schedule

How the trucking schedule shows orders and waypoints assigned to a truck, and how to rearrange them across days.

When orders and waypoints are assigned to a truck, the Trucks schedule shows the visit order for that truck across the days you select. From here you can move orders within a day or across days, and you can move single waypoints to a different day.

Open directly: Trucks schedule. From the side menu, click Planning and then Trucks schedule.

To start moving things around, click the edit button on the truck you want to change. Editing one truck at a time keeps the schedule predictable. You can only move orders and waypoints within the date range you have selected at the top right.

Move a full order

While editing, every order on the truck shows two arrow buttons under it. Use the single arrow (left or right) to move an order one position back or forward within the same day. The first order of a day also shows a double left arrow to move it to the previous day, and the last order of a day shows a double right arrow to move it to the next day.

Important. Moving a full order to another day also changes the planned date of its load and unload waypoints. You are telling the system to shift the whole order, including all appointments, by one day.

Move a single waypoint

Sometimes only one stop needs to shift. A typical example: you have to load tomorrow but the pickup already happens today. In edit mode, the first and last order of each day show extra double-arrow buttons next to each waypoint, so you can move just that waypoint to the previous or next day. Other orders in the middle of the day do not show these buttons, because moving a middle waypoint across days would split the order in a way the schedule cannot represent.

After moving the pickup, the schedule shows it on the previous day while the load and unload stay on the original day.

Save or cancel

Use the save button on the truck row to confirm your changes, or cancel to discard them. Nothing is saved until you click save.

Inside Transports planning

A small version of the schedule also shows up inside the Transports planning table. Once you assign one or more trucks to a transport in the order editor, the same blocks appear and let you move the orders within that truck's schedule. The same arrow rules apply.

Important. The same warning applies here: moving a full order to another day also moves the planned date of its load and unload.

Difference with the Trucks planning board

The Trucks planning board is for assigning orders to trucks and shifting orders between trucks. It does not have an in-day reorder for a single truck and it does not change planned dates on its own. If you drag or plus-button an order to a truck, the order moves to that truck on the day it was already planned for; load and unload appointments stay on their original date.

If you need to load tomorrow but pick up today, do that on the Trucks schedule as explained above. The Trucks planning board on its own will not change appointment dates: the system only changes appointment dates when you specifically move a waypoint or a full order across days in the Trucks schedule.
